Your Journey

How to Become Muslim

Converting to Islam is a simple and meaningful journey that you can take privately online or in the presence of other Muslims. If you genuinely believe that Islam is the true path and wish to embrace it, all it takes is reciting the Shahada (Declaration of Faith), which is the first of Islam's five pillars.

The moment you sincerely say the Shahada with belief in your heart, you officially become a Muslim! Embracing Islam for the sake of God wipes away all past sins, giving you a fresh start like being spiritually reborn.

Declaration of Faith

The Shahadah

أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّٰهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ ٱللَّٰهِ

"Ash-hadu an la ilaha illa Allah, wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan rasulu Allah"

"I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah"

By sincerely declaring this with conviction in your heart, you become a Muslim. It's that simple, yet profoundly life-changing. This single declaration opens the door to a life of purpose, peace, and divine connection.

Common Concerns

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to know Arabic to become Muslim?

No. While the Shahadah is traditionally said in Arabic, you can also say it in your own language. We will teach you the Arabic pronunciation during the session — it only takes a few minutes to learn.

Can I take the Shahadah alone, without witnesses?

Yes. Your Shahadah is between you and God. Witnesses are recommended but not required. Many people choose to take it privately first and then repeat it at a mosque later.

Do I have to change my name?

No. Changing your name is optional and not a requirement in Islam. Some new Muslims choose to adopt an Arabic or Islamic name, but this is a personal choice.

Will my past sins really be forgiven?

Yes. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: 'Islam wipes out whatever came before it.' When you sincerely accept Islam, all your past sins are completely forgiven by God.

What if I'm not 100% sure yet?

That's completely okay. There is no pressure. Take your time, explore our resources, ask questions, and come to us only when you feel ready in your heart. We're here whenever that moment comes.

Is the service really free?

Yes, absolutely. Everything we offer — the Shahadah session, mentorship, resources, and ongoing support — is completely free. We do this solely for the sake of God.
